1. Your Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others), you have the right to:
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information to third parties
- Opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
2. How TourZoom Handles Your Data
TourZoom is an online travel marketplace that connects travellers with independent tour operators. To provide this service, we process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
2.1 Data We Collect
When you use tourszoom.com, we may collect:
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number
- Booking information: Travel dates, destination preferences, party size
- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details
- Usage data: Pages viewed, search queries, device and browser information
- Communications: Messages exchanged through our enquiry system
2.2 Data Sharing for Bookings
When you make a booking or send an enquiry, we share relevant information (such as your name, contact details, and booking requirements) with the tour operator (Vendor) so they can fulfil your request. This is necessary to provide our marketplace service and is not considered a “sale” of personal information.
2.3 Advertising and Analytics
We may use third-party analytics and advertising services (such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) that collect information about your activity on our site using cookies and similar technologies. Under some state privacy laws, this sharing of data for targeted advertising purposes may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
3. How to Opt Out
You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information in any of the following ways:
3.1 Cookie Consent Settings
The fastest way to opt out is through our cookie consent banner. Click the cookie settings link in our website footer to update your preferences at any time. Declining “Marketing” cookies will stop the sharing of your data with advertising platforms.
3.2 Email Request
Send an email to privacy@tourszoom.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”. Please include:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with your TourZoom account (if applicable)
- A clear statement that you wish to opt out
3.3 Contact Form
You can also submit your request through our contact page. Select “Privacy Request” as the subject.
3.4 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request for the sale and sharing of personal information associated with that browser.
4. What Happens After You Opt Out
Once we process your opt-out request:
- We will stop sharing your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes
- Marketing cookies will no longer be set on your device
- You may still see ads for TourZoom on other sites, but they will not be targeted based on your activity on our platform
- Your account and bookings are not affected — you can continue to browse, book, and use all features of tourszoom.com
5. Verification
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. We will ask you to confirm information we already have on file (such as your email address). We will never ask for sensitive personal information as part of the verification process.
If you use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf, we may require proof of authorisation (such as a signed letter or power of attorney).
6. Non-Discrimination
TourZoom will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You will not receive:
- A different level of service or quality
- Different prices or rates
- A denial of goods or services
7. Children’s Privacy
TourZoom does not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of individuals under the age of 16. Our website is intended for users who are at least 18 years old.
