Frequently Asked Questions

what is the Packing Checklist?

  • Clothing: Light waterproof jacket, breathable layers, comfortable walking shoes (good traction for volcanic terrain), swimwear, hat, sunglasses.
  • Gear: Reusable water bottle (tap water is safe), small day‑pack, camera or GoPro, binoculars for whale watching.
  • Health: Basic travel med kit (pain relievers, anti‑histamines, sunscreen SPF 30+, insect repellent).
  • Documents: Passport, EU/Schengen visa (if required), travel insurance, printed flight tickets & hotel confirmations.
  • Extras: Portable charger, travel adapter (EU plug type C/F), a small notebook for island stamps (the Azores have a “stamp” tradition at each island’s tourism office).
